Bart’s Let’s Talk Apple show hits 50 episodes. In Dumb Question I’ll attempt answer whether someone should use Apple Photos or Google Photos (and I’m not as biased as you would expect). In a huge deviation from my published policy, I’ll give you a Tiny Tip about sharing existing playlists in iOS 11. Bezalel review of three products to bring wireless Qi charging to more “mature” iPhones. I’ll tell you the tale of adventure Steve, Pat Dengler and I went through to acquire the iPhone X, and I’ll give you some first impressions. Again, not as biased as you would expect (although I do use the word “magical” more than once.)
Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Mac Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, November 5, 2017, and this is show number 652.
Chit Chat Across the Pond
I’m sure you noticed by this time that I stuffed a special episode of Chit Chat Across the Pond into the NosillaCast feed. I felt pretty passionate about the show Bart and I did where he hosted Chit Chat and talked to me about my experiences as a woman in a technology job. I’ve gotten simply lovely feedback from so many of you, which really warms my heart. I am glad I did it, but I still feel a little bit queasy about sharing so much personal thoughts and experiences. As I said, others have had far worse experiences and have stuck their necks out so I wanted to join them in keeping the conversation going in hopes of positive change. I want to thank Bart yet again for so gently holding this interview with me and making me feel safe.
50 Episodes of Let’s Talk Apple
A little over 4 years ago Bart Busschots decided to launch his own Apple podcast. He called it’s Let’s Talk Apple, and designed it as a monthly retrospective about the Apple news. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate Bart on reaching 50 episodes of Let’s Talk Apple. This show brings in perspectives across the globe and the discussion is always interesting as a result. You can find Let’s Talk Apple at lets-talk.ie/… Congratulations, Bart on 50 shows!

Patreon and Amazon
If you learn from the NosillaCast and Chit Chat Across the Pond whether the Lite flavor or the fuller bodied Programming By Stealth version, it would be great if you considered supporting the show through Patreon. At podfeet.com/patreon you commit a dollar amount per published show, and I only charge patrons for the NosillaCast. I’ve said before that guarantees you’ll be billed only 4 times a month, but I forgot that 52 weeks can’t actually be divided evenly by 12, so it’s really 4 1/3. Anyway, you pick the dollar amount, you can increase (or decrease) it at any time, and even make it stop if you decide it’s more than you can afford or you’re no longer getting the value out of the show. I’m sure that NEVER happens, but it’s there just in case. If you can’t afford to support the show financially, I totally get that. Just tell a friend about the show, ok?

I thought it was Bezel L. Hmm, that’s how it’s spelled. I’m working on a tutorial for nosillacast for an overhead camera mount that costs under $20, is adjustable, supports my 2-pound iPad mini+case, is made of PVC pipe, doesn’t require breaking the bank, just a hammer and a drill. I actually made mine for exactly $0.00 because I had the right bolt and a less polite word for poop ton of PVC pipe in my garage. Pretty cool!

I actually really like the Bezalel wireless chargers. Even more than my Samsung one. And it also works really well with the iPhone X as well, which is always a good thing.
