This week I’ll explain to you why you really should go to Macstock in July — among the other reasons is because I have a discount code for you! Then I’ll tell you how I’m in love with my vacuum, a Dyson V7 Motorhead. I’ll give you a Tiny Tip on how to reliably text to Android Phones using your Mac. Then we’ve got a pretty big episode of Security Bits for you with Bart Busschots.
Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, April 21, 2019, and this is show number 728.
Chit Chat Across the Pond
I have to put the information about Chit Chat Across the Pond this week in future tense this time. Bart and I recorded most of an episode of Programming By Stealth, but it just didn’t go well. To be honest, I got confused and when I get confused, sometimes I allow myself to get cranky. The episode was also going on far too long doing the reprise of the homework and we were running out of time to get to the new material where we were going to learn about AJAX.
The good news is that Bart suggested we abandon ship and start over on Monday when he happens to be taking the day off. He’s reworked the shownotes in hopes of making me less confused and we’ll be refreshed and ready to go on Monday.
I won’t apologize for the delay of game because you’re going to get a far more interesting and instructive podcast than if we’d shipped what we’d recorded on Saturday, I guarantee it. So on Monday night, look for Programming By Stealth Installment 76 about AJAX in your podcatcher of choice either under the Programming By Stealth feed, or the full Chit Chat Across the Pond feed, dealer’s choice. And of course it will also be posted at podfeet.com.

Support the Show
You just heard me talk about my amazing Dyson V7 Motorhead vacuum, and I’m sure you could tell that I was sincere in my adoration of this product. It’s possible that my story of the wonder of cleaning up cat litter inspired you so much that you went to the blog post (linked to in your podcatcher shownotes) to learn more. While there you may have noticed that I linked to the V7 Motorhead on Amazon. And maybe you thought you’d go take a look so you followed that link.
At this point, if you bought the same vacuum, or maybe another vacuum Amazon suggested, or maybe even some cat litter in that session, a small percentage of what you bought would go to help support the podcast. These small percentages really add up. You know I love the Patreon model, but it turns out these little 3% here, 4% there adds up to the same income as Patreon. Isn’t that cool?
If you’re from Canada, Germany or the UK and you click any Amazon Affiliate Links, it will even take you to your own Amazon store now instead of the US store. I’m so happy about that too.
Thank you to all of you who remember to click these links when you’re inspired. Even if it’s to buy cat litter.
