Bart Busschots from the Let’s Talk Podcasts here standing in for Allison while herself and Steve chase eclipses around Chile!
Joe Dugandzic from Smarter Home Life reviews the Wing Lights from CYCL, NosillaCastaway debutant Wing reviews the Powerbeats3 bluetooth headphones, Allison makes a brief appearance to talk about opening and closing things on Teslas, and I do my best to summarise the security news without Allison’s help in a solo Security Bits segment.
Chit Chat Across the Pond
This week’s CCATP is the first ever Programming by Stealth supplemental. Allison chats with NosillaCastaway Dorothy Rendon about the wonderful PBS Index page she created. I love the positive feedback loop that was on display — the PBS index helps listeners get more from PBS, and Dorothy uses what we learn in PBS to continually improve the index! It now uses JSON, AJAX, Bootstrap & Mustache Templates.
You can find this episode in your podcatcher of choice under Chit Chat Across the Pond, or Programming by Stealth, and of course you can find it over at Podfeet.com under CCATP #600 — PBS Supplemental — Dorothy Rendon on the PBS Index.
CYCL Wing Lights
Joe Dugandzic from Smarter Home Life reviews the Wing Lights series of safety light & turn-signal (indicators for those of us on the eastern side of the pond) for bicycles. He also throws in a bonus recommendation, the Trekz Titanium bone conduction headphones I also adore. Read his show notes at CYCL Wing Lights to Light Up your Bike at Night – by Joe Dugandzic.
Powerbeats3 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones by Wing
Making his NosillaCast debut is the light of my life, Wing! My better half was kind enough to write and record a review of his Powerbeats3 Bluetooth wireless headphones for you all to enjoy. Read his show notes at Powerbeats3 Bluetooth Headphones by Wing.
Tesla Tech – Opening and Closing Doors by Allison
Allison sneaks back into the show with the latest instalment of her on-going Tesla Tech series. You’d think opening and closing things would be so simple you couldn’t get even minute of interesting content out of it, but on a Tesla, that’s not how things work! There’s so much more to opening and closing things when you have an iPad on Wheels! Read along at Tesla Tech – Opening and Closing Doors.
Security Bits
Sadly Allison was not around to record Security Bits with me, so you’ll have to make do with just little old me!
You’ll find the show notes at Security Bits – 30 June 2019.
Closing
One last thing before I finish up the show — if you enjoy my work, please check out the two monthly podcasts I host over at lets-talk.ie. I do a monthly Apple news show where I gather together a panel of fellow Apple followers and we take a step back and look at the big stories and trends affecting Apple in the previous month. If MacOS Ken provides the trees of Apple News, Let’s Talk Apple provides the forest! I also do a monthly show on the art and craft of photography. The format for this show is completely open, sometimes it’s just me, sometimes I interview someone interesting, and every now and then I even gather a panel together to hammer out a photography-related topic in detail.
Anyway, that’s going to wind this up for this week. Don’t forget to send in your Dumb Questions, comments and suggestions by emailing Allison at [email protected]. You can find me and everything I do over at bartb.ie. And remember, everything good starts with podfeet.com/. podfeet.com/patreon, podfeet.com/facebook, podfeet.com/slack!
Just a reminder that there will be no live show next week either, because Allison & Steve will still be off enjoying the Malbec and the scenery in Chile. NosillaCastaway Allister Jenks will be taking my place as pretend-Allison next week 🙂
