Allison interviews Pratik Kumar from ALOGIC about their new Powerbanks and USB-C Hubs. The first device he shows is the Cannon One dual USB-C Super-hub due for release around the end of February 2020. It has two USB-C inputs, both of which can be magnetically latched to each other and plugged side-by-side into a Mac computer or separated for single USB-C connections. With both cables plugged in, the hub will support video on two monitors in extended mode. In addition to the two built-in USB-C connectors, the Cannon One comes with two HDMI ports, one USB-C Power Delivery port, one USB-C data port, two USB-A ports, an SD and a microSD card reader, an Ethernet port, and an audio output port, all packed in a portable hub. Pratik then describes the Dock WAVE 3-in-1 which includes a USB-C Hub with Power Delivery, a Power Bank, and a Wireless Charger, all in one compact device. The Dock WAVE, available now for purchase, supports wireless charging of Qi-certified devices and its battery pack stores 5,000 mAh of power. Its top and bottom surfaces are covered in a durable gray fabric which is pleasant to the touch. Finally, Pratik shows another 3-in-1 device focused on Apple products and is due for release in March 2020. It charges the Apple Watch, iPhone, and AirPods all on one integrated, fabric-covered platform and is perfect for use on a bedside table to reduce the clutter of multiple chargers. The setting is Pepcom’s Digital Experience at CES at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
