Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, July 18, 2021, and this is show number 845. Last week when I was debating with the live audience on whether to maybe wait a day to see if my voice came back, Sandy, amongst others asked the great question, “What if it actually gets worse tomorrow?” Good thing I listened to her, as my voice got progressively worse over the next few days, and is only now back to maybe 60%.
In the middle of the week, Jill from the North Woods asked if I’d like her to do the read on one of my articles. It’s really hard to read something written in another person’s voice, but these are desperate times so I took her up on her offer. She’ll be telling you about the Cocopar 15.6″ USB-C display I bought for Lindsay. I guarantee it will sound better than if I read it!
Next week is when Steve and I will be going to Glacier National Park in Montana with Lindsay and Nolan and our grandchildren for a week. I asked for help with material so you’ll still have a show on August 1st, and boy howdy did people come through for us. Bart, Ed Tobias, and Charles Gousha all recorded articles for us and Allister actually did THREE of them. I learned an interesting thing about handing the show off to Allister, it’s the assembly and technical delivery of the show that is scary for him, and creating content is much more joyful. This is actually great because I’ve got assembly and delivery pretty much down and it’s the content that’s hard when I want to play in the great outdoors.
If you’ve been working on a review, still finish it and send it in and I’ll play it in an upcoming episode. I ALWAYS love listener contributions so bring it on!
We’re leaving for Montana on Sunday, July 25th, which means there will be NO LIVE SHOW on Sunday, July 25th. Tell your friends, it just breaks my heart when I open up Discord after a no-live-show Sunday and I see someone asking, “Hey, where is everybody?”

Cocopar 15.6” USB-C Display – read by Jill from the North Woods
Thank you SO much for recording that, Jill, I’m sure it was a pleasant respite for the listeners’ ears from my raspy voice! Allister was kidding me that I sound like one of Marge Simpson’s 3-pack-a-day smoker sisters Patty and Selma! If you’d like more of Jill’s wonderful content, I can highly recommend her fabulous podcast Start With Small Steps Podcast at smallstepspod.com/… or in your podcatcher of choice.
