Allison and I had a fantastic time this year at Macstock as we always do. There was a special event that the NosillaCastaways may enjoy hearing about. Allison and I attended the Karaoke with Kelly event along with the entire gang after a full day of Macstock sessions on Saturday.
It was later in the evening and some consumption of adult beverages may have been involved. Kelly Guimont was the karaoke organizer and the one who encouraged people to get up and sing, quite successfully.
At one point, she and Jeff Gamet got up and grabbed mics in preparation to sing a new song. We then heard the theme song to Gilligan’s Island start up while Kelly and Jeff launched into the lyrics … but not the lyrics we expected. Instead we heard a special NosillaCast version of the song.
Included below are the lyrics for the new song, entitled NosillaCast Island, written by our own John Ormsby (NASANut). Thank you John, Kelly, and Jeff for giving us all some added entertainment for the evening.
I can’t post the video of Kelly and Jeff’s performance for fear of a take-down due to playing the Gilligan’s Island theme song. However, Allison was brave enough to record her rendition of the song for you all to hear. Enjoy!

Just log right in and you’ll hear a tale, a tale with an Apple bias
that started with a single show, that now is loved by us.
The mate was a handy video man, the skipper nerdy and brash.
The Castaways sit in Sundays, for a 1 hour bash, a 1 hour bash.
The sausage started getting ground, the tiny show was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the episode could be lost, the episode could be lost.

Now this is the tale of Al’s Castaways, been around for a long long time.
They’ll have to make the best of it, cause it’s a sausage grind.
