NC #1004 Cleaning Up Apple Contacts, Amorus Magnetic Phone Chest Mount, Networking Surprise Ending, Security Bits

Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, August 4, 2024, and this is show number 1004. That’s a lot of 4s in one show introduction, and 4 is our daughter Lindsay’s favorite number, and, today is her birthday! Happy Birthday Lindsay the Daughter!

Steve and I are getting really excited about our upcoming trip to Africa. We leave this coming Saturday the 10th of August. That means I need to get next week’s show out early, hopefully on Wednesday but no later than Thursday. That means there will be NO LIVE SHOW until September 8th! I know, that’s a very long time. If you want to go to podfeet.com/chat on Sunday night each week at 5 PM Pacific Time, you still can. According to Kevin, I’m just that annoying woman in the corner anyway so feel free to hang out and enjoy each other’s company.

We’ve gotten a couple of contributions of audio and associated text for the shows while I’m gone, and they’re great. But remember if you want to help out Jill, Allister, and Bart, send your files to me at [email protected] as soon as you can – no later than Wednesday, August 7th to be sure I can forward the recordings to them.

Mac Power Users #756: Exploring NotePlan with David Roth – Relay FM

I started the podcast on May 13 of 2005. Exactly one week later, I attended the All Things Digital conference put on by Walter Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal. For the first session of the day, I raced down the aisle to get a good seat in the very front row. As I tend to do, I started chatting with the person next to me. That person was David Roth. David is an Apple fan extraordinaire, and he became one of my very first podcast listeners, if not the very first. David and his lovely wife Jennifer have become very close friends of Steve and mine over the years, and they even let us swim in their pool with their two golden retrievers at their home in the Houston area.

David is a lawyer, which is not a very friendly environment for an Apple fan, but he’s wrapped his job around using Apple products anyway. You’ve heard me talk about David hundreds of times, but the reason I’m telling you all of this now is that he is the latest guest on the Mac Power Users podcast! He joined David Sparks and Stephen Hackett to talk about how he uses the app NotePlan to organize his life. The episode only dropped a couple of hours before showtime, so I’ve only just had time to start listening to it, but it was already great. Even though it feels like he’s cheating on me, I hope you’ll check out Mac Power Users #756 Exploring NotePlan with David Roth.
