Front view of the Magfusion GameFrost Qi2 charger with the company name Aukey printed on the top of the charger face. It is circular, about 3 inches across and 1 inch thick. It has air vents on the periphery and on the front face of the charger. The face has a smaller circular disk that contains an LED display of temperature. The disk is suspended in the middle of the circular charger by four struts. In between the struts are small slits that can pass air and the hints of a small fan inside. Callouts appear next to three functions on the charger: 1) Wireless charging button, 2) Cooling button, and 3) LED light button.

CES 2025: Aukey Active Cooling Chargers, Slim ID Tags, & Powerbanks

Allison interviews David Wu from Aukey about their range of products that power mobile devices. He starts with the MagFusion GameFrost Qi2 charger with a built-in fan to keep your device cool as it charges. It is compatible with MagSafe devices and can charge up to 15W of fast charge power.

David then shows their beast of a charging station that delivers a total of 300W to four USB-C and two USB-A devices.

Their next product, the CheckMate, is an ID tag that is compatible with Apple’s FindMy service. It is shaped like a credit card so it can go into a wallet or other slim spaces. Unlike most FindMy devices, it is rechargeable using a standard wireless charger and holds a charge for up to 6 months.

Next, David shows a range of GameFrost Qi2 wireless chargers that can handle multiple devices simultaneously as well as one designed for your car that clips onto an air vent.

David concludes with their Qi2 wireless powerbanks that store 5,000 mAh of energy and deliver 15W of power. They are slim, about half the thickness of a deck of cards, compatible with MagSafe charging, and fit nicely on the back of a mobile phone.

Transcript of Interview:

Allison: I got my very first GaN charger from a company called Aukey, A-U-K-E-Y, and I’ve come across them with David Wu here at CES, and I got to see all of these new products. I see a bunch of innovation awards, looks like some pretty cool stuff. What have you got here?

David Wu: Yeah, we got some really cool things this year. So we got three products, got the CES Innovation Awards. The first one is the gaming wireless charger with the cooling system. So it’s very new in the market with a very nice design. With the three functions, display the temperature when you charge your phone, and the cooling and the light.

Allison: So I’m going to describe this for the audio-only audience. What we have here is a round puck that’s got some bright white lights on it, and if I set this on the MagSafe connector on the back of my phone, Steve’s going to be able to bring this in here. The fan has just turned on to start cooling the phone down, and it’s showing the temperature.

David Wu: Yes, and it can keep cooling your phone down, because the others, your phone gets heated when it’s charged, either with the wireless or the wireless charging. But this one, not at all. It keeps cooling. So it can be like 20 Celsius, 20 degrees.

Allison: So this is really good for gamers that are heating their phone up, right?

David Wu: Yes.

Allison: This is really, really pretty. So is this on the market yet? And if so, how much is it?

David Wu: The retail price, sorry, I forgot the price, but it’s already in the market.

Allison: It is? Okay. All right. This is also a new one. It’s a 300-watt charger, the charging station, with four USB-C plus two USB-A.

Allison: Oh, wow, that’s a beast.

David Wu: Yeah, it can charge everything you have. It’s a charging solution for all your devices.

Allison: For laptops.

David Wu: Yeah, for laptops also, yes.

Allison: For MacBooks, too, right?

David Wu: Yeah, yeah. So it’s 300 watts and the maximum now with the laptop is 140. So you have multiple devices you can charge at the same time.

Allison: And you’re not going to carry that on an airplane, but…

David Wu: This doesn’t come with…

Allison: Actually, it’s just a charger. It’s not a battery, though, right?

David Wu: No battery. So you can take it anywhere if you like.

Allison: Okay, there you go. All right, the next one?

David Wu: Yeah, this one is a Trackmate, okay? It’s a Find My product.

Allison: So this looks like a little bit… It looks like a credit card. It’s just credit card size with a little power button on it?

David Wu: Yes, this one is slim as a card. You can put it in your wallet or some other places. What’s the unique thing for this product? It’s made from glass, the metal glass and the metal frame. The thing is, the normal one, you can get in the market. Three years later, you need to throw it away. But with ours, you can always recharge it every half a year and you can keep using it.

Allison: How do you charge it?

David Wu: Wireless charging. You just put it here.

Allison: Oh my gosh.

David Wu: It’s wireless charging. You see? It’s just wireless charging this on…

Allison: He’s using the MagFusion GameFrost, the cooling one. I guess that’s overkill, but…

Allison: What is the power button for?

David Wu: Sorry?

Allison: I see a power button on the front of the card, the Trackmate.

David Wu: This is to match with your phone.

Allison: Oh, okay. Right, right, right. That is beautiful. That is tiny.

David Wu: Also, there’s a unique thing. If someone, they found this card or they found what you have lost, they can scan this QR code and find the information you leave for them and they can contact you.

Allison: Excellent. I guess they’d have to know to do that, but you can find it, right? These are fabulous products. Now, I see you’ve got a couple of more products that have the cooling system, this active cooling system.

David Wu: Yes. This is also the product, so we are 3-in-1 with the cooling system. So 3-in-1 mags, it’s Qi 2. The Qi 2, wireless charging for the phone, for the AirPods, for the Apple Watch.

Allison: Oh, I didn’t notice the Apple Watch in the back. So this is unique. It’s a cylinder coming out at you with the Apple Watch charger on the top and the Qi 2 on the front. And I assume that’s a fan in there too?

David Wu: Yeah, there’s a fan and there’s a cooling pad inside. So it works the same as the Game Frost.

Allison: Oh, that’s very nifty. It looks like you’ve got one for another one of these cooling fan chargers for the dash?

David Wu: For the dash, yes. This you can click to your air vent and it can charge the same function, but using the car.

Allison: That’s where my car, mine gets really hot, is doing charging in the car. So I think that would be great.

David Wu: Yes.

Allison: All right. I don’t think we need to go through all of these, but there is one more thing.

David Wu: One more, just one more.

Allison: Yes.

David Wu: This is something very unique in the market. You don’t see it any other places in the market. This is a 6-in-1 wireless charging product.

Allison: Six in one.

David Wu: Six in one. It can charge three smartphones at the same time. Qi 2 certified, three phones, three wireless chargers, Qi 2 certified.

Allison: So this is also magnetic down here?

David Wu: Yes, magnetic and Qi 2 also.

Allison: So one down on the bottom and then two up on cylinders up above?

David Wu: Yes. And here, it can charge the smartwatch also.

Allison: Oh, very good.

David Wu: And if you put it down, you can charge your AirPods here.

Allison: Oh, that’s how you get to six.

David Wu: Yes. And also in the back, you have two ports.

Allison: Oh, wow.

David Wu: So it comes…

Allison: Wait, I’m not up to six. I got one, two, three, four, five, four, six.

David Wu: And also these two. The chargers on the back.

Allison: You could count it as seven because you got two USB-Cs back there, right?

David Wu: But you cannot use this one at the same time. Either watch or either the AirPods.

Allison: Sure, sure. That makes sense. All right, we might as well finish up. These are the prettiest little magnetic batteries I’ve ever seen. So you slap them on the back of your phone. They’re 5,000 milliamp hours, I believe?

David Wu: Yeah, 5,000 milliamp hours. Also very, very thin and very, very powerful. Also 15 watts charging power. It’s a Qi2 35 also.

Allison: There you go.

David Wu: Yeah, Qi2 35.

Allison: Okay, that’s… Wait, did you say 30 watts or 15?

David Wu: 15, right?

Allison: 15.

David Wu: Right, right, right.

Allison: They’re really pretty. There’s like a rose gold and a teal and a gold and silver and a black. Those are beautiful. All right, so if people wanted to find out about all of these fantastic Aukey products, where would they go?

David Wu: Now, they can go Costco to find some products and they can go Best Buy to find some products. And we are still talking to Walmart. Maybe soon they can find it in the Walmart.

Allison: All right, so the company you’re going to look for is Aukey, A-U-K-E-Y. Find all these products. And this is not some weird fly-by-night.

David Wu: The name of the brand, Au, stands for gold. The key is a key.

Allison: Okay, in what language? In Chinese?

David Wu: In Chinese, Aukey, but Jin Yao Shi. Yeah, it’s a gold key.

Allison: Oh, I like a gold key. All right, thank you very much. This is fantastic.

David Wu: Thank you, Allison.
