Allison interviews Tiffany Fang from Aurzen about their trifold portable projector called ZIP. This powerful yet tiny projector measures just 3.3” x 3.1” x 1” when folded and weighs 9.9 ounces.
To use ZIP, you simply unfold it to its Z shape, set it on a flat surface, connect it to your video source with WiFi, and project your video.
ZIP uses DLP display technology and features auto focus and auto keystone functions. It projects video at 100 lumens of brightness with 720p resolution. It provides 90 minutes of play time and is fast-rechargeable with USB-C.
ZIP is compatible with Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows devices and is available for pre-order at the link below.

Transcript of Interview:
Allison: Aurzen promises to have the world’s first trifold ultra portable projector and Tiffany Fang is here to tell us about it.
Tiffany Fang: Yeah, of course. Thank you guys. So this is the world’s first trifold projector. The most compact one and the flexible one that you can find on the market.
Allison: So this is audio and video, so an audio podcast. Pretend everybody’s blind. Describe what we’re looking at.
Tiffany Fang: So we’re looking at a trifold projector. So think like a trifold phone for example.
Allison: Exactly. So it’s maybe 3×3 and it’s a trifold?
Tiffany Fang: It is 3×3, it’s a trifold. Just want to close it for a second. It’s my palm size. That’s how small it is.
Allison: So it’s just the size of her palm, maybe an inch and a half thick. And it’s got a bunch of bunch?
Tiffany Fang: Only an inch thick.
Allison: Oh, an inch, okay. It’s an inch thick, one inch thick.
Tiffany: So it actually weighs the same as your iPhone it’s only half the size of it.
Allison: Okay. So by the way, as she’s holding this, there are no wires connected to it and yet she is projecting onto a screen right here.
Tiffany Fang: Exactly.
Allison: She’s projecting from a computer.
Tiffany Fang: Yep. You don’t need Wi-Fi to connect your device and your own mobile device. So it’s a new technology called Point2Point. So it really doesn’t require any Wi-Fi. So when you’re camping out, there’s no Wi-Fi, and you can still use that to mirror casting the content from your phone.
Allison: So it’s not Bluetooth?
Tiffany Fang: It’s not Bluetooth. So it’s P2P. Point2Point, the latest technology.
Allison: This is amazing. So what about brightness on this?
Tiffany Fang: The brightness here is 100 lumens. However, it works with the DLP chip. So the picture quality does not get pixelated no matter how far away that you are from the display and you zoom in. It’s just getting…
Allison: Pull it back for him again so he gets that on screen.
Tiffany Fang: Yeah. See, like the pixel is not that obvious. Because the DLP technology, right, allows the consistency of the picture quality. So, but the only difference is the brightness in the room. So here we’re at Showstoppers, it’s really, really bright. But you can still see the image pretty crystal clear.
Allison: Right. So if you don’t… I think if you got off of the Bluetooth setting there, it’s even better.
Tiffany Fang: Yeah, I know. So we’re gonna… How do we get out?
Allison: Escape out of that. Okay. There we go. Now it looks really good.
Allison: Yeah. So she’s actually playing real-time video on this projector on this little screen and she’s holding it in her hand. And this is like a nothing up your sleeves kind of a moment, right?
Tiffany Fang: Yeah, definitely. Yeah, we’re like super doped about it. It’s already the first day on Kickstarter.
Allison: Can I hold it in my hand?
Tiffany Fang: Yeah, of course.
Allison: All right. So there’s a USB-C port on the side, I assume that’s just to charge it?
Tiffany Fang: Yep, yep. That is the fast charging port by USB-C.
Allison: And how long does the battery last?
Tiffany Fang: So the battery lasts up to 90 minutes. So it’s a 5,000 mAh battery.
Allison: All right. So we might need to plug it into another battery if we want to watch a full-length movie outside?
Tiffany Fang: Maybe, but it supports fast charging. So when you plug it into your power bank, you are able to enjoy more longer than 90 minutes. But like most of the movie, hopefully you already get to see the ending within an hour and a half.
Allison: I don’t like that long of movies anyway. All right. So this is from Aurzen, A-U-R-Z-E-N. And the product is called?
Tiffany Fang: Zip.
Allison: Zip.
Tiffany Fang: Yeah.
Allison: Because it looks like a Z-fold from the side. Oh, look at me figuring that out. And I believe this is on Kickstarter now?
Tiffany Fang: Today is the first day that we launch on Kickstarter and it is working great for us. So I would recommend everybody just get on it and then get the lowest price you can get for one zip.
Allison: All right. Very good. We’ll check it out. Thank you very much.
Tiffany Fang: Thank you.
