Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Sunday, December 20, 2020, and this is show number 815.
For the last month or so, Bart’s RSS feeds for Security Bits have been unusually light and we’ve had quite short bits with nothing to chew on. That changed this week with the SolarWinds breach. We also wanted to talk about Facebook trying to kick up a kerfuffle about Apple’s Tracking Transparency changes. We had a third Security Medium planned but we recorded it and we’ll be playing that one next week, all about the new Oblivious DNS over HTTPS or ODoH. And of course I had prepared content for the show as well so it’s going to be a great episode.
I also put out the call in our Slack and Facebook communities that I’d really like to relax for Christmas week and SO many people did recordings already that I’ve got a full show and won’t have to do a lick of work myself. In fact, there are two recordings that will go to the following week in January so I’ve got myself a proper little holiday.
With that, let’s kick into the show.
