Hi, this is Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast Apple Podcast, hosted at Podfeet.com, a technology geek podcast with an EVER so slight Apple bias. Today is Saturday, July 3, 2021, and this is show number 843.
I’m pushing the show out a few days early because we are spending the 4th of July with Lindsay and Nolan and the grandkids. I couldn’t leave you without a show of course, and I didn’t want to do it days late either. This does mean that there will be no live show on Sunday because of fireworks and other Independence Day goings-on so I hope you can get by for a week without it.

I have been busy on the podcast circuit in the last few weeks and I wanted to highlight some of my appearances.
DTNS Accessibility Week
Last week was Accessibility week on the Daily Tech News Show, where Tom and Sarah had guests with varied disabilities where they could talk about the interesting things in tech that help them. On Tuesday, I got to guest host with them and the guest was David Woodbridge. You may remember David from his appearance on Chit Chat Across the Pond two years ago. David is blind and works for the Vision Store in Australia and tests all kinds of gear for accessibility for the visually impaired. It was great fun hanging out with David again and its always a blast recording with the DTNS folks.
You can listen to David (and me) on DTNS #4057 for June 22nd at the link in the shownotes
I also want to point you to an episode of DTNS from Accessibility Week and that was Friday 25 June’s episode where they had Christophe Zajac-Denek about his lived experience with accessibility needs as a person with dwarfism. You’ll remember him from his awesome appearance on Chit Chat Across the Pond #683.
Heck, the whole week is awesome, check them all out by subscribing to DTNS in audio or video in your podcatcher of choice.
In a Few Minutes with Ken Ray
Ken Ray, of Mac OS Ken fame, has a podcast called In a Few Minutes. This show features one guest, who is on every day for a week, and the show is only around 15 minutes. Behind the scenes, this is recorded in one sitting so if you binge them one after another they kind of hang together as one plot with five subjects. Last week I was on the show and the five subjects were really interesting.
On Monday he asked me what was news to me – where I had to come up with something surprising from the tech/Apple news. Tuesday we got more serious as we debated whether Apple has an obligation to get out of China if they’re going to keep saying that privacy is a human right. Wednesday was a lot lighter while we talked about the coolest and most iconic Apple Stores we’ve been to. On Thursday we totally got away from tech and he asked me to tell him about a good story that had an impact on me, and I told him about one of my favorite books. Friday was my favorite day where he told me I could invite any three people to a dinner party with me, and they didn’t have to be alive or speak my language, because all that would be taken care of. I really enjoyed deciding on my three people and Ken loved my answer.
You can find the In a Few Minutes podcast in your podcatcher of choice, and look for the week ending Friday, June 25th if you want to hear me having fun with Ken.
