Scheduling for the NosillaCast has become a full-time job for me, but I think with the help of the NosillaCastaways I’m going to be able to take all of my mini-holidays without disruption of our 18-year streak of uninterrupted shows. This week I created all of the content myself, which was an interesting challenge because I’ve got a video due to Don for ScreenCastsONLINE in a couple of weeks too. I’m not complaining, I love doing the videos and I love writing for the show, but when they land on top of each other with holidays, it’s a bit more challenging.
Want to Answer My Form?
The video I’m doing for ScreenCastsONLINE is about Google Forms, which I just finished writing about for you. That makes it a lot easier when I’ve already just studied a tool and have a good outline ready to adapt for the video script. There’s one thing you might want to help out with. I’ve created what I’m calling a “Fun Form” with questions designed to illustrate the way results are shown based on what format the responses were restricted to. By that I mean remember how checkboxes let you answer all that apply, but multiple choice and dropdown only let you make one choice?
The way you can help if you choose is to fill the form out between now and September 18th. I’ll be finishing the video using the results of the survey that week. Apple Announcement and Live Show
I mentioned last week that during the Apple Wanderlust announcement, Steve and I will be on a plane to Houston to meet our new grandson Teddy. We may shell out the exorbitant fee to get Internet on the plane, but in any case, the chat room will be open to all to come discuss in text form what you’re hearing about the new hotness from Apple. I also want to give you an update about the Live Show. Even though we’re going to Houston, we will be back for the show on Sunday 17 September. It will probably be a short show because I’ll be playing probably two segments. One prerecorded and I’ll be back in time to record Security Bits with Bart so that will probably be most of the show.
Now the following week, September 24th, Steve and I are going to my nephew’s wedding in the Finger Lakes in New York, so there will be no live show. I’m not sure what day I’ll produce the show, but there’s a good chance it won’t come out until Tuesday the 26th. I know, that’s two days late, but I’ve been banking credit by getting shows out early so I hope you’ll forgive me.
I’ve got some great content lined up to take care of these trips but I could still use some more from the NosillaCastaways for one of the future shows!
