Allison discusses four of VinFast’s line of all-electric vehicles: the VF8, VF9, VF3, and VFWild. The VF8 is a five-passenger electric SUV and is currently being sold in the U.S. It’s available in two trims, the Eco and the fully-loaded Plus version, and has a range of 250 to 280 miles. The VF9 is a seven-passenger full-size electric SUV and will be arriving in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2024. It will also come in Eco and Plus trims and should have a range above 300 miles. Both the VF8 and VF9 offer a large crisp center display and have lane assist and speed control. The VF3 is a four-passenger sub-compact EV. Although it’s targeted for sale in the U.S. in 2025, it’s already being sold in Vietnam. The VF3 will have a modest range of about 125 miles with a target price of only $20,000. Finally, the VFWild is a concept electric pickup truck with a stylish exterior and a full glass roof. It is slightly smaller than a Tacoma but offers similar interior space and a 5-foot cargo bed. The bed can be extended by 3 feet into the cabin by folding down the back row of seats. The interview setting is the CES show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
