CES 2025: 10minds AI Motion Pillow

Allison interviews Zenora Andrade from 10minds about their AI-based smart pillow system. The Motion Pillow detects the user’s snoring patterns and adaptively adjusts the pillow to reduce snoring and improve sleep patterns.

The system is comprised of the Motion Pillow and Motion System sensor, which sits next to the user on a bedside table. After a short learning period, the Motion System detects the user’s snoring and uses AI to learn and distinguish those sounds from other noises.

When snoring is detected, the user’s head position is located on the Motion Pillow and the airbag in the pillow inflates slowly. The inflation causes the head to gently turn to the side, opening the airway and helping to reduce snoring.

The Motion Pillow is noninvasive, with no attachments required. It has a low-noise design using patented noise/vibration reduction technology. It is easy to operate, with only two actions required: turn on the power and lie down on the pillow. The pillow itself is made from high-density memory foam with CertiPUR-US certification.

Allison: So I just walked up to Zanora Andrade of 10 Minds and told her sleep tracking is stupid and that her job is going to be to convince me that whatever they’re doing here about sleep is not stupid.

Zanora Andrade: No not at all. Let me prove to you why.

Allison: OK.

Zanora Andrade: So this here is going to be the AI MoPill. This is going to be a device that sits on your bedside. This here is going to have an AI microphone that picks up snoring frequencies and it learns your specific snoring frequency. Once it hears that you started snoring that’s actually going to activate this pillow here. There’s nothing electronic inside the pillow. It’s all in this component. What that does is that sees where your head is positioned and then it’s going to elevate one of five panels. What that does is elevate your neck, get those breathing passages and nasal airways open and get your snoring to stop. Once it hears that your snoring has stopped then it slowly decompresses.

Zanora Andrade: Now that data is also paired with the app and that’s pretty much going to give you a sleep score throughout the night or tell you what position you were in, you were snoring for how long, how deep of a sleep you were able to actually achieve and then also let you adjust different things because it pairs with items such as the Aura ring to give you a little bit more data. Like maybe it was a day you worked out super hard, now you’re sleeping a little bit heavier, that’s what caused you to snore. Just to kind of pinpoint what it is that’s causing you to snore and how to prevent that in the future.

Allison: Yeah, so that’s the thing I always get back to is if you can’t figure out the root cause of something then the reason I say sleep check is stupid is it’s like weighing yourself every day.

Zanora Andrade: It’s true.

Allison: You don’t lose weight because you weigh yourself. You have to count the input.

Zanora Andrade: You’ve got to figure out why. So this is at least just trying to gather as much data as possible so you could possibly pinpoint what it is exactly and maybe even take that to a health professional as well to show them, “Hey, this is the data I have. Why am I snoring when maybe this is the temperature of my room versus not?” And then do further tests that can probably help.

Allison: It’s checking temperature as well?

Zanora Andrade: Yes.

Allison: Okay.

Zanora Andrade: It pairs with breathing patterns, everything now since it’s compared with other devices like the aura ring.

Allison: So if you’re snoring are you by definition not sleeping well?

Zanora Andrade: You aren’t because your brain is getting less oxygen to it due to that interrupted breathing.

Allison: Okay. So I like the idea of something doing the change that I don’t maybe have to watch all these different metrics and look at it.

Zanora Andrade: Exactly. It really will work on its own. The device is honestly just for extra data just so you can see as to maybe why certain information is causing you to be that way.

Allison: Well, I don’t think this is stupid.

Zanora Andrade: I’m glad. See, I told you I could prove it.

Allison: All right. So the company is 10 Minds.

Zanora Andrade: Yes.

Allison: Where would we go to find?

Zanora Andrade: We’re based out of South Korea so we’re still looking to launch this version of the product but previous versions without pretty much so much depth like pairing with the aura ring is available right now. We sell it at the show for $349.

Allison: Okay. That’s without these other features. It does pair with the app right now.

Zanora Andrade: Currently, it’s just not as in-depth and connects with too much like smart home and aura ring but it does give you data through the app right now.

Allison: It does tilt your head to make you stop snoring.

Zanora Andrade: Yes.

Zanora Andrade: I want the thing that actually fixes it. It does. It does. It tilts you. It gets you going, gets you breathing properly and then it slowly depresses.

Allison: It relaxes you down.

Zanora Andrade: Yep.

Allison: All right. Very good. Where would they find the 10 Minds?

Zanora Andrade: 10 Minds, we’re based out of South Korea so we really just have it on 10minds.com right now.

Allison: All right. Very good.
