Google keeps Flash up to date in their Chrome browser so it’s a less risky place to allow Flash content. However you can be bothered by Flash playing against your will with Chrome. Instead of getting a plugin to disable Flash you can set it to only play when you choose to click on it by finding this one (somewhat buried) setting in Chrome.
Open Chrome Preferences
This Takes you to chrome://settings
Scroll to the very bottom and click on Show Advanced Settings
Privacy Settings Will be Reviewed
Click on Content Settings
Scroll Down to Plug-ins
Check the box for Click to Play.
Flash as You’ll See it Now
Here’s an example of what Flash will look like to you with Click to play switched on. You can click it if you want to but you don’t have to see it. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see a lot of these, most sites are no longer using Flash.
